This work consisted in developing a presentation for a certain topic for any course of primary education, in order to learn how to develop a right presentation and how to use Creative Commons, reading some blog articles about it online.

This is the third work we have done in the subject and we had to invent a good story.
For us, this activity is more interesting and funnier than the other two we have made before. I guess the teacher wanted us to do the story to increase our imagination and our creativity. On monday class we choose the topic about the work. The topic had to be a content of Primary. After thinking on it and sharing different ideas we believed the best would be talking about the student diversity. We guessed that we had to be original so we invented a story about the pet of our group, Miss Apple. A component of the group brought from her house different fruits (an apple, an orange, a banana, a strawberry and a pear) in order to makes photos for the video. Also, we made a powerpoint in which we explain with phrases and images the story of Miss Apple. Maybe the best part of the activity was when we had to put stickers in the eyes and draw the smiles in the fruits because we laughed a lot and all the people looked us and I guess they thought we were so strange. On the other hand, the worst part of the group was looking for the images with creative commons. With this task we have learnt to be more creative in the presentations when we have to teach to our children as we learnt in the subject “Planificación”, which said that we have to be very creative not to bore the child. If we weren't original the child would be bored, they wouldn´t want to go to the school and this would foment the school abandoning. This week was difficult because we had to do two tasks instead of one as always, so we know a lot of new concepts now and like good people we want to share with you our new knowledge. Here you can see five important concepts:
- Attribution: You can share it, use it commercially and also create new versions of it, but always giving credit to the real author. - Share Alike: You can use it commercially and share it, but you must do it under the same type of license. - No derivatives: You can use it commercially but you cannot use it in a new version. - Noncommercial: You cannot use it commercially. - Noncommercial Share Alike: You cannot use it commercially and to create a new version it must be under any non-commercial license. - Noncommercial No Derivatives: you cannot use it commercially and neither you can use it in a new version.
Alicia: 9, because it was one of the weeks I put more effort into, and tried my best with my mates to create the perfect story having into account everything we learned about presentations and Creative Commons. Also, as we had to repeat it, we had the oportunity to change it and make it even better.
Marta: 7 because I think I worked a lot for this activity, the whole work was pretty good but after presenting it to the class, we changed the design of the story for improving it. Teresa Abad: 8, because in this activity I think that it was the week that I provided more ideas to my group and I worked a lot to create the story, and the final work was very original. Ana: 7, I helped to my group to do the story of Miss Apple, it was so lovely and the whole group work together in order to do a perfect presentation. Definitely, our imagination is incredible. Also, I made an effort to do the reflection of the analyst. Inma: 7 because I worked with my mates creating the story and preparing the stop motion video for the presentation. All of us worked a lot this week and I think our presentation reflect it, however, I focused a lot on the part of presentation and I didn’t help with Creative Commons part. María: 7 because I worked a lot with the presentation of Creative Commons lisecences and I spent a big part of my time looking for information to create the power point but I didn't help with the story of Miss Apple. Teresa Chico: 7, because I worked in the presentation of “How to make a good presentation” and I collect and summarize the information from my classmates to do the presentation. Teresa Abad: 8, because in this activity I think that it was the week that I provided more ideas to my group and I worked a lot to create the story, and the final work was very original. GROUP: in general, we would puntuate ourselves with a 9, as it was our best week so far. We had some problems of coordination because we didn't have enough time to be aware of every detail, but as the teacher gave us another week, we had the opportunity to grow and be even better, learning more deeply about creative commons and presentations. We were really creative, and worked really hard in order to surprise everyone and do something different and motivational. This task, in my opinion, was the most important one of the course so far, because we learnt two basic competences not for a teacher, but for every student. I feel like we should’ve learnt this at school, as creative commons is something we should use everyday, and we do a lot of presentations through our academic life.
However, this specific activity helped us a lot at the time of understanding everything, because we had to search for the information, read about it and resume it, which helped us to develop the competence of knowing how to look for information and interpret important data. Then, we put it in practice, by doing something we’ll have to do constantly as teachers: a unit exposition, so we applied the knowledge to a real future situation, which is actually one of the competences of the course, as well as knowing how to transmit information. As we took an active part on our learning, we interiorized it better than if it was just a simple lecture. We also learned how to use some TIC like powerpoint in a more correct way and how to create multimedia products for children of a specific age, taking into account their development possibilities. Also, we developed the teamwork, of course, because we worked as a team like in any task. |
